Scholarships 2017

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer scholarships to outstanding students whose parents are members of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Scholarship Qualifications:

Who: Students graduating from high school in 2017 whose parents have paid their
membership dues in 2016 may apply. Parents of the applicant must be members of the Chamber (not part of a corporation) for at least one year prior to the student’s application. The Scholarship Committee will determine if the application is acceptable according to membership records.

Students who have maintained at least a “B” (3.00) average throughout high school.

What is Required: Applicants are required to send in their official high school transcript that includes 7 semesters, a letter of recommendation from your high school counselor or teacher and the completed scholarship application. Scholarships will be awarded according to the applicant’s scholastic achievements, extracurricular activities, and community service.

Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend our 78th Anniversary and Chinese New Year of the Rooster banquet on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Great Wall Chinese Cuisine Restaurant, 5057 N. 35th Avenue as guests of the Chamber to receive their awards. Recipients will be required to attend the banquet to receive their scholarship.
